Low risk CURB-65 0–1, CRB-65 0Patients with a low-risk score have a low mortality and should be considered for home management, in conjunction with clinical judgement and review of social circumstances and comorbidities. Oral/enteral antibiotics should be prescribed according to local and national guidelines.174
Moderate risk CURB-65 2, CRB-65 1–2Patients with a moderate-risk score should be admitted to hospital. Treatment with oral/enteral antibiotics is the preferred option, according to local and national guidelines.174
High risk CURB-65 3–5, CRB-65 3–4Patients with a high-risk score should be admitted to hospital. Treatment with intravenous antibiotics is recommended according to local and national guidelines.174
